Our biennial quilt show will be, once again, at Shenendehowa H.S. East. This is an opportunity to share and be inspired by the quilts that are shared, to shop till we drop, to learn new skills at a luncheon lecture, and to raise awareness of and funds for the guild.
Five local guilds come together to put this extravaganza on – there are lots of quilts, vendors, food, luncheon lectures, and guild booths to visit. It’s always a great show and always a great way to spend a spring day.
Quilt North fundraising at the show
Tickets for the beautiful quilt that will be raffled at our next quilt show are available for pick up at our guild meetings. Please take as many books (5 tickets per book) you think you can sell to raise funds for guild charitable activities.
In addition, at the show, QN’s guild booth will be a quilt “boutique.” Experience shows that smaller, less expensive items are most popular with show attendees. Please help stock Quilt North’s Empire QuiltFest boutique by donating any of the following:
- Handmade items valued between $5 and $25.
- Fat quarters from your personal stash.
- Works in progress you don’t want to finish.
Items will be collected until April 21.
Don’t know what to make? At our next few guild meeting, we will have instructions for crafting unique things we think would be popular with shoppers. Also kits for pillowcases, tote bags, and iron caddies kits will be available for you to take home to sew.
Any questions, please contact June Barker or Jo Thomas at email@example.com.
Thank you in advance! We will be in touch about other opportunities to help out with the show and with ideas of things to contribute.
