Sew Day this Saturday!

There is a “Sew Day” this Sat., September 26, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. It’s a great way to see what others are working on, get inspired, show your own work, and socialize!

You could also check out this month’s block of the month (BOM) and maybe make one or two.  Go to the BOM page to get the pattern.

Click here to register for this event. Two sew events are planned for October, an evening event on Wed, October 14 and another Sat., October 24. Go to the Events page for details and registration links.

Contact Sue Schoch at sschoch1@gmail.com with any questions.

We can’t wait to see you!

Register in advance by clicking on this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0vdOGurT8jGt3gfyS0hzH1DkPdYUhxB8Hg.

After you register for the lecture, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link.

Guild continues using Zoom

Quilt North guild plans on using a Zoom program platform for our September 2020  –  January 2021 meetings. We will have both our speakers and workshops on Zoom and hope to offer some other fun programs as well. We have had some great Zoom events already! Alex Anderson’s lecture and workshop in July were exciting and showed us that we can continue to have high quality experiences using this virtural format.

The board and committees have been working hard on figuring out the logistics of delivering all the elements of our great meetings virtually – from Block of the Month to Show and Tell.

Tech support and practice sessions have and will be offered so no one is left out!

We miss seeing all our quilting friends! As disappointing as it is that we can’t meet as usual, we are excited that we can be together and connected with this new format. You won’t want to miss what’s coming in 2020-2021! Renew your membership today; click here to access the membership form.

June webinar with Rosalie Dace

Due to the corona virus, the rest of the guild year has been cancelled. That doesn’t mean the guild has been idle though! More than 1,500 masks have been donated to the community and some online fun has been planned.

Members should check their email for details of upcoming events. Hoping everyone is well and staying healthy!

Comfort Quilt Workshop at the Library tomorrow – Monday, Feb. 1, 2020

Happy Super Sunday everyone! Enjoy the game.
Tomorrow, Monday, February 1st, is our annual Comfort Quilt workshop at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065, from 1 pm to 7:30 pm. Look for us in the big room upstairs. This is our February guild meeting.
We have many quilt tops to be tied or machine quilted. We need some members to bring sewing machines to piece backings and attach bindings, too. Please bring scissors and large needles (curved needles work great) for tying quilts. There is lots of crochet cotton in many pretty colors to use.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other guild members, a time to socialize and work on beautiful quilts. Come for a couple of hours or stay for the duration, any and all help is appreciated. Supper of pizza and salad will be provided by the guild.

Contact Comfort Quilts chair, Paula Dunn with any questions at pauladunn@nycap.rr.com.
