We are so lucky to be able to go international with our October guest speaker. We would like to welcome Katalin Horvath from the United Kingdom. She will explain her Draw-Sew-Trim technique and show us her award winning quilts. Click here to visit her website. Our Zoom meeting is on Monday, Oct. 5th at 7 pm; the guest fee is $5. Please register in advance by clicking here.
Katalin will be teaching a workshop on this technique, which is a whole new way of doing applique, free motion quilting and thread painting, via Zoom on Tuesday, Oct. 6th. Read all about it and see the class patterns, as well as how to sign up on the Workshops page.
Here is a video showing Katalin’s Draw, Sew, Trim technique.
There is a “Sew Day” this Sat., September 26, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. It’s a great way to see what others are working on, get inspired, show your own work, and socialize!
You could also check out this month’s block of the month (BOM) and maybe make one or two. Go to the BOM page to get the pattern.
Click here to register for this event. Two sew events are planned for October, an evening event on Wed, October 14 and another Sat., October 24. Go to the Events page for details and registration links.
