The December guild newsletter is now available! Click here to read it.
This month we have donated quilts to Guardian House, Birthright, Albany Medical Center’s neonatal unit, CAPTAIN, and WIC. We have plenty of kits waiting for long-arm quilting, piecing, and tying.
Remember, in lieu of a regular meeting, the January meeting will be a charity workshop held at the Elks Club, 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6. Drop in or stay for the day! Pizza and salad will be provided. Bring your sewing machine and walking foot, and call me if you can bring an ironing board or iron. The guild has a few travel irons. We will be tying, piecing, making wheelchair caddies and layering quilts for domestic machine quilting. If you’d like to bring a treat to share, feel free! I will have my coffee urn set up all day. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! See you next year!
The January guild meeting is our annual charity workshop. Because of venue availability, we will be meeting TUESDAY, Jan. 6, not Monday, Jan. 5.
The workshop will be held at the Elks Lodge, 695 Mac Elroy Road, Ballston Lake (which is only about 10 minutes from Shenendehowa United Methodist Church). This is a new venue for us for workshops and has received rave reviews. Here’s a chance to check it out and work alongside other members making quilts that will be given to those in need.
Dear Dayle and Quilt North members,
The quilts and knitted blankets are stunning as always. Christmas is fast approching and our residents will be thrilled with these gifts.
Thank you all so much.
With sincere appreciation,
The Activity Dept at Maplewood Manor
Thank you Quilt North members for your great donation of $100 cash and a trunkload of paper products and nonperishable food items. Your donation was greatly appreciated by the Helping Hands Food Pantry.
