Clifton Park Farm Fest

The annual Clifton Park Farm Fest is Friday-Sunday, Sept. 19-21. This fun, family-friendly fall weekend features activities at area farms, apple orchards and other agricultural locations. Complete information is available at the Clifton Park Town Office.

The event kicks off with a Harvest Dinner Friday evening at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. On Saturday, the Amity Reformed Church in Vischer Ferry will host a one-day quilt exhibit, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This exhibit features larger quilts — from crib to king size — and the quilts are displayed on the church pews.

Members intersted in participating in the show should drop off their quilts with Ruth Riddle and Martha Hadarics at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center, 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18. Each quilt must have a label with the name of the quilt, owner’s name and any pertinent information, and each quilt must be in a pillow case or other type of tote bag — no garbage bags, please! Entrants may pick up their quilts at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20, at the church.

If you cannot drop off your quilt on Sept. 18 or pick it up on Sept. 20, please contact Ruth or Martha via phone or email to make other arrangements.

Members who are available to volunteer to help set up the show Saturday morning and tear down Saturday afternoon should contact Ruth or Martha. Because Amity is an antique building, its sanctuary is reached by a set of outside stairs, meaning we could use as many volunteers as we can get! Any and all help is welcome.

  1. I have sent a question (multiple times) about whether there are any openings for the October 5th class-Size does matter. I have used both your email contact and the Contact us. I have not received any reply. If you do not know yet that is good too as long as I am informed. I am disappointed in getting no reply.

    • Hi Virginia – This is Michele, the webmaster. Your comment is the first I’ve heard that you were looking for more information. The “contact us” form should go to the general guild email address; I will work with Ann Pastore to make sure that’s working. And I’ll pass your question onto our program VPs. Thanks!
