I hope your summers have been great. It seemed like it took forever to get here and I’m always sad to see it go. I just have to remember that it will be months before the snow flies (I hope).
Our VPs, Jennie Kerwood and Suzette DuPont, have planned a wonderful year. We have great speakers lined up and exciting workshops. Sign up for some as soon as you can.
We’re still looking for a venue coordinator. The job entails getting volunteers to help with set-up and take-down at our monthly meetings. A clipboard is going to be circulated during the September meeting to start this process. It’s an easy job if shared — maybe there’s a group of friends who can help out. Let me know.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone,
P.S. – Big thanks to Karen Sturtevant and Nancy Glover for once again organizing the beautiful quilt display at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library this August (see page 2). And thank you to the members who provided quilts for the show. When I stopped by, the friendly security guard mentioned that it had been very popular. This is a great way to let folks in the community know we’re here and to give us all the opportunity to see some lovely quilts.
